As the 2017 Presidential Elections of Rwanda draw near, the High Commission, in collaboration with Rwanda’s National Electoral Commission, will be organising the Diaspora voting, which will take place on the 3rd August 2017, 1 day earlier than the election date in Rwanda (4th August 2017).
Using Twitter, the High Commissioner, Her Excellency Yamina Karitanyi (@YKaritanyi), called on Rwandans living in the UK to seize the opportunity and make the most of the privilege that it is to be able to vote in the Diaspora, something which only a few countries allow (25 countries), including the U.K, Switzerland, South Africa, Canada and the United States.
“#RwandansInUK, your vote is greatly valued, do not miss your chance! #RwandaDecides“
The official polling stations will be in London, Coventry and Manchester to facilitate Rwandans living in the different regions of the UK.
